Meta Quest 2 review Things you need to know about VR headset

It is one the most well-known VR headsets, but is it really worth the money? This is the answer to that question that you have been asking yourself every single day.

The Meta Quest 2 headset, formerly the Oculus Quest 2, was tested by us when we were writing our best VR games article. The headset’s RRP in the UK has increased by one hundred pounds since then.

It is important to know that the Meta Quest 2 comes in two versions. The main difference between them is how much storage they have. Now that the price rise has been implemented, the 128GB version of the Meta Quest 2 is normally priced at PS399.99. However, the larger 256GB version can be purchased for PS499.99.

Black Friday Meta Quest 2 offers currently offer the 128GB version for PS349 at a PS51 discount. Or, the 256GB version is available for PS429 at a PS429 savings (a PS71 saving with some extra games). Is that a fair price? Continue reading to learn more!

Is Meta Quest 2 really worthy:

We’d say the Meta Quest 2 worth purchasing if you want to experience virtual reality. This headset provides a wonderful introduction to VR. Therefore, if you’re in a dilema whether to choose a Meta, Sony, Samsung, HTC or Oculus for business VR headset that would be a 100% value-for-money proposition, and which can provide a real life-like situation, both for games, as well as product viewing, then this is the best headset to trust blindfolded. It also has a large selection of games.

The Meta Quest 2 was comfortable and flexible. We tried it over several months in early this year. It was much simpler to set up. While the PSVR needs a camera and several cables, the Meta Quest 2 can work wirelessly and has no camera in sight.

Before we began playing on it, the Meta Quest 2 impressed us. It was easy to set up, and the home screen with a seaside view was blissful. It may seem like a small thing, but it makes the Meta Quest 2 feel warm and inviting.

The built-in store can be linked to an Android app. It took us no time to find the games we were looking for. We had heard positive reviews about Beat Saber (think Guitar Hero with lightsabers), and Resident Evil 4 VR port. Both are available on Meta Quest 2.

It was now time to play the games. We were very pleased to see that the Meta Quest 2 was very smooth and ran flawlessly. Beat Saber is very enjoyable and feels like a hard workout when you reach the harder levels. Resident Evil 4 is fun, but you will want to choose slower-moving settings in VR if you are prone to getting motion sick.

A number of the games are tied to popular franchises in the entertainment industry, such as Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge or Jurassic World Aftermath. Vader Immortal is another Star Wars-related VR game that you can get on your headset. This is our favourite VR game to date.

The Meta Quest 2 can run a wide variety of games, including many we’ve already listed. This makes the Quest a great headset to begin your VR journey. It’s also a more affordable option. This headset is much less expensive than buying a PC with a headset.
