The most successful quarterback of all time declared his retirement. On the 1st of February, on a Wednesday, Tom Brady announced on his social media channel that he would be officially retiring. He kept the message simple, thanking family and friends, teammates and even his opponents. He stated that he was done with his emotional retirement speech from last week and will not duplicate it.
The news comes one year after Brady announced his retirement in the year prior. There was speculation as of the latter part of January, and on January 1, 2022 Brady declared that he was putting his hat. But on March 13, he announced he had decided to not retire and would return to play in his next NFL season.
Even with a down year to 2022 Brady is regarded as the most successful quarterback ever. He ended the season with 7 Super Bowl wins, winning the MVP award in five of the games. He earned NFL MVP honors three times and was a 15-time Pro Bowl player, as well as being named All Pro six times. He will be the leading player in all-time passes yards, passing touchdowns and touchdowns.
