Harvinder Singh, a young and promising RCMP officer who had only just turned 32 when he died tragically on April 10th 2023 was known by colleagues, friends, and family as Harvey. Harvinder Singh and His Volunteer Service
Harvinder spent three years volunteering in Brampton, Ontario where he provided meals to senior Punjabi citizens while showing kindness and helpfulness towards this elderly population. When joining the RCMP he took pride in wearing his uniform and serving his community.

Harvinder died while performing his duty. While driving to assist colleagues regarding a noise allegation, his vehicle collided with a concrete barrier on Township Road 540 just east of the North Saskatchewan River in Strathcona County at around two in the morning on Monday April 10th – an event which ultimately claimed his life due to severe injuries suffered during impact. Unfortunately Harvinder could not survive this incident and succumbed due to injuries received during impact.
Harvinder Singh Funeral Service
Harvinder’s funeral service took place on Thursday, April 13th at Bethel Lutheran Church. A funeral procession started from there at 10 a.m. until arriving at Millennium Place leisure center in Sherwood Park for her memorial service at 11:30 a.m.
The public was welcome to stand along the funeral procession route to show their respect, but only those approved by family, first responders, and friends could attend per the RCMP’s guidelines.
