Maegan Hall, a married Tennessee cop was fired recently after she had an affair with six other officers from the La Vergne Police Department.
Sergeant Lewis Powell and Sergeant Ty McGowan were the other officers to be fired along with Hall.
For their part in the scandal, officers Patrick Magliocco and Larry Holladay were both suspended.
The investigation into these alleged affairs started on December 12, after La Vergne Mayor Jason Cole received details from a whistleblower. He asked Andrew Patton, the city’s Human Resource Director, to investigate the matter.
An investigation revealed that the officers of the second shift had undisclosed relationships off-duty and inside the station, as well as having private encounters and exchanging inappropriate photos and videos.
According to the report, some of these encounters were at officers’ football watch parties. There they enjoyed alcohol-fueled escapades as well as discussing how to include Maegan Hall and their wives in private activities.
Private encounters were also alleged to have taken place at a shift party at an NFL game or at a hotel after a Go Kart USA outing. Officer Maegan Hal was accused of taking off her shirt during one such encounter, which took place on Sergeant Eric Staats’ houseboat at a “hot-tub party”.
Although Staats wasn’t directly involved in the scandal Hall was charged with having an additional alleged private encounter in the bathroom of Hall’s boat.
Mayor Cole stated that the situation was unacceptable and that he had ordered that all involved officers be disciplined following the conclusion of the investigation on December 28.
Maegan Hall was a former officer at the La Vergne police department. After having affairs with six of her co-police officers, she was fired.
Hall is married to Jedidiah, a former state park ranger and also the son of an pastor. Hall was reportedly claiming she was in an open relationship, although officers involved claimed her husband looked unhappy after seeing Amy, the wife of former state park ranger Jedidiah, at a party.
According to Daily Mail, Jedidiah Hall and Maegan were college sweethearts who tied the knot in November 2018. In March 2018, the couple bought their first home together in Manchester.
An internal investigation has revealed that Hall tried to include her husband in her trysts but the latter “wasn’t on board”. However, Jedidiah decided to stand by his wife during the ongoing controversy.
