Authorities said that two brave members of the community disarmed the Monterey Park mass shooting suspect at a second studio following the rampage. This prevented more carnage.

What the police said: Tran, a white van driver, was found in Torrance, California. He was later declared dead by authorities after he took a self-inflicted shot. Still unknown: Authorities are still trying to determine if there was a motive behind the violence. Luna stated that they want to find out how something like this can happen.
‘Brave” individuals disarmed a gunman who entered Lai Lai Ballroom & Dance
According to authorities, witnesses at the Lai Lai Ballroom in Alhambra, two miles from the Monterey Park dancing studio , saw the shooter run to a white van. Similar van was seen at Torrance, California’s site of law enforcement on Sunday afternoon. Authorities found Tran, who had committed suicide.
Luna believes Tran intended to shoot more people at Lai Lai Ballroom & Dance.
He said that the suspect entered the area with the intention to kill more people. Two brave members of our community decided to take action and disarm him.
Luna reports that police discovered a magazine-fed semiautomatic assault gun with an attached large capacity magazine at Alhambra studio.
The post stated that Lai Lai Ballroom would be closing today to observe the Star Dance tragedy. “Lai Lai Ballroom will be closed today in observance of the tragedy at Star Dance last night. Lessons will resume Monday.” All teachers and students are subject to extra security checks before entering the studio. All the families of the victims are in our prayers.
Alhambra was proud of the bravery shown by those in the ballroom that disarmed the gunman, and prevented more carnage.
